Anxiety and fear are often confused. However, there is a distinct difference.
Fear is the rational self-preservation response to real situations where danger
may lurk. Anxiety, however, is fuelled by the imagination, creating lots of fear
responses when they are not warranted. Unfortunately, people prone to anxiety
will perpetually find things to worry about.

Anxiety can lead to poor sleep pattern, sudden panic attacks, lack of appetite,
and often the inability to think clearly and concentrate well, as the mind is
being hijacked by worrying thoughts.
If anxiety continues for a long period of time, it can greatly affect many areas
of life and can ultimately cause depression. However, anxiety and the tiresome
anxious feelings can be resolved. We can work with you over as little as three
or four sessions to help calm your thoughts and feelings, introducing a more
positive outlook, enabling you to understand and control the imagination in
order to create a sense of calm and wellbeing.
